We Honour the Traditional Custodians of This Land
Cable Co acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and build.
Cable Co Pty Ltd acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture, and we pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
We extend this acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who may engage with our services, visit our website, work within our teams, or partner with us through the Zayin.ai platform.

Our Commitment to Reconciliation
Cable Co is committed to meaningful reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that the infrastructure we build exists on lands that have been cared for by First Nations peoples for over 65,000 years — the oldest continuing civilisation on Earth.
Our commitment to reconciliation is reflected in the following actions and principles:
Employment and Training
We actively seek to create employment and training opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our workforce and through the Zayin.ai contractor platform. We support pathways into the electrical, telecommunications, and engineering trades for First Nations Australians.
Procurement
We are committed to engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses in our supply chain where possible. We support Supply Nation certified businesses and actively seek opportunities for Indigenous procurement in our projects.
Cultural Awareness
We provide cultural awareness training to our team members to foster understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contributions. We recognise the importance of cultural protocols and seek guidance from local Traditional Custodians when working on culturally significant sites.
Community Engagement
We engage with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the regions where we operate. We seek to understand and respect the cultural significance of the lands on which we work, and we consult with Traditional Custodians where our work may impact sites of cultural heritage.
Cultural Heritage Protection
We comply with the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 (NSW), the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act 1984 (Cth), and the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (where applicable) to ensure the protection of Aboriginal cultural heritage sites, objects, and places.
Building a Shared Future
As a company that builds critical infrastructure for Australia's future — from power systems and data centres to telecommunications networks — we recognise our responsibility to ensure that the benefits of this infrastructure are shared equitably with all Australians, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We believe that true reconciliation requires action, not just words. We are committed to walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as we build the infrastructure that will power the next generation of Australian communities.
We acknowledge that reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and we welcome feedback from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organisations on how we can improve our practices and deepen our commitment.
Learn More About Reconciliation
We encourage all Australians to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.
This Acknowledgement of Country was prepared in consultation with reconciliation best practices and is reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects Cable Co's ongoing commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
